NCCN		National Comprehensive Cancer Network
		This web site provides the current treatment algorithms recommended by the National Comprehensive Cancer Center Network of all the major cancer centers in the United States for all sites including head and neck and endocrine.

Medline		National Library of Medicine
		Authoritative information from the National Library of Medicine, the National Institutes of Health, and other organizations. Medline has more than 10 million journal article references and abstracts going back to the early sixties.

SHNCI		Sydney Head and Neck Cancer Institute
		The Sydney Head and Neck Cancer Institute (SHNCI) has been established to provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art treatment to patients with cancers and diseases of the head and neck. Based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Australia, the Institute is part of the Sydney Cancer Centre.

AHNS		American Head and Neck Society
		The American Head and Neck Society (AHNS) is the single largest organization in North America for the advancement of research and education in head and neck oncology.

EORTC		EORTC Head and Neck Group
		The organization was founded as an international organization under Belgian law in 1962 by eminent oncologists working in the main cancer research institutes of the EU countries and Switzerland. It was named "Groupe Européen de Chimiothérapie Anticancéreuse" (GECA), and became the "European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer" (EORTC) in 1968.

ELS		European Laryngological Society
		Officially founded in January 1995 in Brussels on the initiative of Professors Kleinsasser, Serafini and Luboinski, this society is devoted to the knowledge and developments in all the fields of laryngology.

ASOHNS		Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery
		Representative organisation for Ear Nose and Throat Head and Neck Surgeons in Australia, and dates from 1950. Members are Specialist Surgeons who investigate and treat conditions of the ear, nose, throat, and neck. These include the evaluation of hearing difficulties, sinus conditions, voice problems, cancer of the throat, and facial plastic surgery.

ANZHNS		Australian and New Zealand Head and Neck Society
		The Australian and New Zealand Head & Neck Society was officially incorporated in NSW on 2 February 2000. The principal objectives of the Society are to promote the practice of head and neck oncology, to foster research and to seek optimal treatment outcomes for patients with tumours and diseases of the head and neck.

ISHNO		Indian Society of Head and Neck Oncology
		Formed following the International Workshop on Head & Neck Cancer held at Delhi, in January 1985. ISHNO has consistently held Workshops and Technology Transfer Programmes in different parts of the country with participation of national and international faculty.

SAHNOS		South African Head and Neck Oncology Society
		SAHNOS is a society that aims to advance the knowledge of all aspects of Head and Neck Oncology relevant to the treatment, reconstruction and rehabilitation of patients with tumours of the Head and Neck for the benefit of both patients and colleagues.

BAHNO		British Association of Head & Neck Oncologists
		The association was first constituted in 1967 as the Association of Head and Neck Oncologists of Great Britain. The stimulus for its formation was the need to encourage discussion and the sharing of knowledge between the various clinical and research specialties involved in the management of head and neck cancer.
		British Association of Head and Neck Oncology Nurses
		The organisation exists to improve patient outcomes in head and neck cancer and has excellent information for patients and health professionals alike.

IAOO		International Academy of Oral Oncology The International Academy of Oral Oncology [IAOO] draws together for the first time formally, clinicians and scientists worldwide, working on issues relating to the etiopathogenesis, epidemiology, prevention and management of oral and perioral tumors and of oral disease in patients with malignancies. IAOO consists of a wide range of clinicians and scientists worldwide, leaders in their fields, who have united to establish the Academy.
